I tried to get everything together before I left for Texas but the cukes I bought at the market weren't very good so I scrapped the idea for a later date
today was that date.
I made up my own pickling spice recipe
and think next time I'll add some of our pepper creations to the brine.
But for now, the jars are resting...waiting to be eaten in a few days!

a little bit too much cinnamon in the pickling spice
they were "ready" after 6 days but they taste much better now that it's been longer...really can't even taste the cinnamon, I wondered why it was in there in the first place but it's gotta serve SOME purpose
no one else likes em because Dad said he didn't

he'll eat anything

I definitely plan to try again and probably make up my own pickling spice recipe
