Today was a big day in the yard, Woo! We made the conscious decision to be Eco friendly in caring for the lawn last year...no more scary pesticides or fertilizers. This weekend the hub and I were kid free and we took in the Winter Garden Bloom and Grow Festival. On the way there, I spotted a side-of-the-road tool sale so we busted a U-ey and dug through plastic trays filled with old tools and treasures. I was immediately brought back to my dad's workshop in the basement when I was a kid...that greasy but not dirty smell of old tools...and it was nice :)

I gave in and got a trim today...trims are okay, just no major style changes until at least Halloween 2010 I've had a hard time holding my 'poo free ground in salons in the past and paid for it dearly when I had to go through the ucky phase of getting product out of my hair again. Today is our oldest's birthdaywe did breakfast up right!I made belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash...the works ...everyone just picked and chose at their faves.For me, I made gluten free apple cinnamon waffles with homemade cinnamon ricotta (who KNEW how easy it was to make!) yeahhhhhh I am sooo excited for this remodel!the accent wall and doors are going to be the deeper color (red pepper) and the rest of the living room and hall will be tibetan orange.The hub is building a bookcase/entertainment center wall and the back wall behind the shelving unit is going to be spiced plum.
